Incontinence is the inability to retain urine through theloss of sphincter control in the bladder. This may be due to a lack of muscle tone in the pelvic floor. In this case exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor (such as practicing starting and stopping urination when peeing) or sitz baths may be helpful. It may also be due to an irritated bladder with an urge to urinate that can't be held back. Uva ursi tea is a great remedy for this problem.
